Fundamental Financial Analysis
Measuring firm performance and position
Complete a financial analysis on your selected firm by following the process outlined in the course. Your analysis should conclude with a recommendation to buy, sell, or hold your investment. You must approach the task from the perspective of an investor with a long-term time horizon.
Instructions / Checklist
- Obtain and enter all necessary data for your firm (complete the analysis tool provided)
- Follow the process of analysis you’ve been taught in this topic
- Do all work in this file and in the financial analysis tool
- Do NOT share this file, but use lots of data / images from it. (If you don’t know how to insert images, ask)
- Be sure to evaluate trends over time, and not just key values
- Don’t just present data, refer the reader to it in your written work, or use key values in your writing. Less data in writing, and more in tables / charts is always better.
- Write all points as an argument. Each paragraph should have a point, and support. Remember to make a recommendation.
- Divide your work into sections that match the steps of analysis you are doing. Cite any references using APA
- 1,000 words is your max (not counting images and charts etc.)
